S4 and S5 Geography students conducted a field study in Central on 8/4/2024. They were divided into groups to measure various weather events, assess the level of urban heating index, and map the land-use of different checkpoints in the field to study the urban heat island effect. Afterwards, they returned to school to process the data, draw conclusions, and evaluate the work they have done. The event proceeded smoothly, with the hope that students could enhance their understanding of field studies and acquire relevant fieldwork skills through this experience.
